A question for all of you out there……………….What sites/resource do you use to get your pre-race weather forecast and information? I mainly look at the NOAA site here http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=37.86929762139238&lon=-122.45035171508789&site=mtr&smap=1&unit=0&lg=en&FcstType=marine but for the past few years I’ve known that I’m a lowly bow person and just need to get the rags up and down like a good monkey. So I have been ok with just the basic info.
A few years ago when I was doing a lot of D/H racing I would spend more time doing research on the days leading up to racing. I am sure the resources available have changed quite a bit since 2004 and I need to step up my game for the 2011 D/H season so …………………..throw a dog a bone and share your secretes!!!

For a day race on big boats I just use weather.com. For dinghy sailing I use iWindsurf.com. For the more important races we download gribs from 3 different places and compare in expedition

Windmapper.com works for me. It shows what's all around me and how I can expect things to develop during the day. It's fking windy here today!!
