Yeah, we reached a milestone of sorts.

It's been a year since Pressure Drop officially went live. In that short time which has gone by so quickly, we have witnessed many great things and some not so great. The recent tragedies in Japan and Christchurch. Chaos in the Middle East, massive floods in OZ all come to mind.

However on a positive note, SF was chosen to host the next America's Cup. We've seen youth sail around the world, unassited, A catamaran made of plastic bottles sail from SF to Australia, Jules Verne's record eclipsed again, A mad international dash from Barcelona around the World and back unfold. An American dominate in the Velux 5 Oceans. The list goes on and on.

We have had the opportunity to meet some great people along the way, and reach back into the past and reconnect with others. We try to present a positive outlook on the sport and a venue for you, the readers to utilize in the that endeavor. Sailing is, ultimately about having fun and challenging one's self. We will continue to strive to achieve that and look forward to another year of covering and sharing the events, the personalities, and adventures as they unfold, and hope you will continue tag along for the ride!

Thank You,

The Pressure Drop Staff
