Go to a used fishing supply and pick up lead there, then melt it and pour it into a mold to fit what you want. Or depending on how much weight you need....a 40lbs battery is cool to start with.....

if you need a small amount, I think I've got a 5 pound ingot somewhere in the garage. I have a little pot and a cooker you could use for small amounts if needed.

and there's always the "lead shot embedded in resin" approach. The gun shop on El Camino in San Bruno sells 5 pound bags of shot.

good info, thanks g. i have the pot setup for smelting, i just hate doing it. resin and shot sounds mucho better

was hoping between marine hardware, kkmi or others may have had pre-made corrector ingots...was worth the ask

turns out that no weight was needed...w/battery in, boat came to half pound over class weight

i love it when a plan comes together
