just by way of re-establishin on online persona on this place as opposed the other place.
have been racing in the Naptown area since about 1984. started off on an old Mull 47 as
relocatable ballast. Eventually was taught to pull a few stings.

Learned how to drive (poorly) racing Jet 14's at WRSC in Galesville.

Re-enterred the leadmine world in 89 or 90 racing on a PHRF B boat back when PRHF B might have 30 boats show up for any given event and more for Solomons, Gov Cup or the old Audi/Yachting Race week down in SoMD. learned how to drive better after racing a laser for a year all up and down the east coast. bought and raced a j24 for a couple years, then a J30.. then a Bene 36.7 and now race a J35. Attempting to restore a Chesapeake 20 to be raced at WRSC with all the other 20's.

any other refugees out there?

Refugees from???

I didn't realize you once had a 367. What possessed you to sell that in favor of a J35?

The one design class(36.7) here on the bay went to shit while at the same time the J35 class seemed to be growing. I also had way too much money tied up in upholstery and amenities that I never use when I'm sailing. So I sold the Bene and bought something more appropriate to the type of sailing I do. I don't have anything really bad to say about the 36.7. Probably the only negative comment I would make about the boat is the steering was a bit numb to the touch. I think now I've grown to prefer tiller steered boats.

Well I will give you that the damn thing tracks like a beachball.
That and you have to exit the head to turn around!

I'm a refugee from the other place too and I know your boat well, Bump.

Wife and I cruise our Dufour 40, out of Mill Creek, Annapolis and I race, more or less casually, on assorted boats.
