Amazing Shots....

Here's some little tidbits I learned last week from someone on the scene...

Measurement was a fight all the way around because the Italian load cell was calibrated differently that the load cells some of the yachts used for their previous certification.

The Maxi-owners voted unanimously to increase their yearly membership fee into the class association by 15K euros....no word on what the total membership fee is.

It seems at this level the state of the economy is not relevant.

NOTE: Meant to get these in here last night, thank for the reminder.

An impressive collection of images from Carlo Borlenghi covering the Maxis on the Med

Looking at the 5th picture in the sequence makes me cringe....

You're midway along the rail for crew position and the call for tacking goes out....you now have to climb over 2 combings, 2 sofas and not get yourself tangled in the chute sitting there....and if you're late, the deck will be pitched at 45 degrees and you have no handholds to grab.

True, but you can probably get a massage, a fresh hot croissant and frothy mixed cocktail in the process!
