Stuart Island to Sidney, British Columbia



We rounded the Southwest end of Stuart Island early Thursday morning in order to head across Haro Straits to clear customs at Sidney and then hopefully find a reciprocal spot at Sidney North Saanich Yacht Club for much needed showers and contacting the modern world on their wifi.

Matia Island to Stuart Island - Reid Harbor



We left Matia early in order to sail across the top of the San Juans towards Stuart Island. With the current with us past Sucia and Waldren we made good time and eventually had to reef the mainsail down again in order to sail to weather around the Southeast end of Stuart and into Reid Harbor for the night.

We left Anacortes early and promptly came out into the channel into the now familiar morning fog. Soon out of the fog sailed this beautiful little wood boat making it’s way towards the straits. Bellingham to Anacortes



The day dawned hot and light, we managed to sail our way out of bellingham bay but then found ourselves out of wind. Yet we had all day to deliver Scotty back to Anacortes so we slowly motor sailed towards Guemes waiting for the wind to fill.

West Sound to Bellingham



Sunday dawned with clear skies and good Northerly breeze blowing down West Sound. We were able to hoist the anchor, followed by the sails and slide out of the bay by the Orcas Island ferry dock into Harney Channel while Jennifer was below making us Pumpkin Streusel in the oven for breakfast.
