  1. Christmas shutdown is a wonderful thing

    Making good progress now - and the hard, scary, parts are done so I should be able to find time in the evenings to work on the boat rather than hiding from it.

  2. Canadia, here we come!

    We had heard about this place called Campobello Island. A somewhat land locked piece of Canada, similar to Point Roberts, Washington, that is easiest to get to via driving through Maine rather than taking a boat from Canada. We were told there was a light house at the end of the small Island that can be toured, but only at low tide when the sand spit isnít awash with water.     As soon as we set everything up at camp we headed back out and down the road to the Ship Harbor hike. We took a stroll out to the point and back as the fog kept rolling across the land in waves as it had been doing all day.     Sunday morning we began unpacking the boat, emptying the holds and getting things organized to throw them in the Huntersí Land Rover and up to the cottage weíd be staying in all week. Our sale agreement of Libra came with a clause that we would hang out for a week and do our best to teach the new owners (with no previous sailing experience) how to operate the boat, going over all the systems with them.
