    77 boats in 7 one design classes ( 21 J-105's, 6 Melges 24, 4 Etchells, 9 Express 27s, 6 J-24s, 20 Knarrs, and 11 Folkboat)
    registered for the 2017 SFYC Resin Regatta, the YC's annual invitational to resin aficionados and converts.

    With just a few AWOL boats, the participants enjoyed a spectacular weekend on the bay with wall to wall sunshine, warm temps

    "Well, it was a battle to the end. In the second race of the day on the first run, we got hit by a massive puff and we stuffed the bow in and broke our bowsprit. We jury rigged to finish the race and then put in a big effort to replace the bowsprit between races. We then beat the boats we had to beat to win overall. A huge thanks needs to go to our shore guys to get us back racing in the last race. Great team effort."

    With racing cancelled yesterday due to severe conditions, the RC44 Sotogrande Cup fleet ventured out today in marginally improved conditions.     Afrodite Zegers and Anneloes van Veen (NED) were unstoppable on day two of Sailing's World Cup Series in Hyères, France, winning both Women's 470 races in convincing style.
    Out of the 534 competitors from 52 nations racing across ten Olympic events, Open Kiteboarding and 2.4 Norlin OD, the Dutch team were the standout performers.

    Following a brief morning postponement due to a wait for the wind, the 470 fleets got out for a 12:30 start, sailing in a westerly 10-15 knot breeze.

    Over 500 sailors from 52 nations opened their quest for World Cup honours, personal best performances and bragging rights as the second event of the 2017 series got underway in Hyères, France.
