520 nms Stage 2 La Solitaire URGO Saint Brieuc to Ria de Muiros Noia Started Sunday. If the first 465 nautical miles stage of the 49th La Solitaire URGO Le Figaro proved to be classic Channel race, full of twists and turns, big winds at the start, a tactical mid section in light airs which compressed the fleet and a very close finish, the second leg whichs starts Sunday is a classic late summer downwind sprint across the Bay of Biscay. Best Juniors Racing on the Limit
    A Flex and a Wink

After three breezy races to end qualifying, the fleet headed back to the base. Daniel Nybork and Sebastian Olsen (DEN) sailed brilliantly with a 2, 1, 1 and upon reaching shore with their first ever lead in a 49er championship, Sebastian dropped everything to sprint back into the water and rescue their team mates who were capsizing on the ramp. Giving a flex and a wink to those on shore once the boat was upright again, he knew it had been a good day. Good moves on the water, good citizens off the water, these Danes were in their element!

    Game On
Today is the day the regatta truly began, with four races for one side of the 49er draw and 3 races on the other. After a slow start the 2018 Junior Worlds are up to full speed! The 49er fleet ...

Tough conditions have continued for the fleet racing in the Sevenstar Round Britain and Ireland Race, with competitors reporting 30 knots of wind gusting to 35, with 3-4 metre waves in a confused sea state.

As the front runners reach the halfway point, the battle for line honours is raging north of the Outer Hebrides. Class40 Concise 8 skippered by Jack Trigger moved up to second place yesterday and briefly took pole position during the night. However, Phil Sharp's Imerys Clean Energy fought back to regain the lead as the team passed the remote island of Sula Sgeir. Nicolas Troussel's Corum is less than a mile behind Concise 8. Giles Redpath's Pata Negra is still the provisional overall leader after IRC time correction, but Ben Schwartz and Chen ...

It was the first gold medal to be awarded at these Hempel Sailing World Championships Aarhus 2018 and Berecz’s emotions were heightened by the fact that it has been a long time coming - for him and his country.

“I’m a human being and I know what it means for me, my team and my country. It is a big achievement,” Berecz said.
