• All Clear In Puget Sound

All is clear after a circa WWII mine surfaced in waters off Puget Sound on Tuesday.

A shelter in place alert had been in place since the ordinance surfaced in wither off the Port of Brownsville.

Navy divers secured the old underwater mine with line and it was detonated last night at 8:00 PM
and with no indication that the old mine had any explosives. The Keyport Undersea Warfare Station
is located just a couple miles away, and mine was probably a left over from a mine field in the area used in WWII
