Thought that I would start a thread under the "if you build it, they will come". I restored an old 7.9 from Norfolk VA last year that was nearly sunk and covered in barnacles. Now, I am eating humble pie as I learn the boat and gel with the new crew.

All I can say is PHRF sucks and OD is the way to go. We have 12 -13 boats on the line on Wed. PM beer cans and 6-8 on Saturdays. So much nicer racing when you know who is in the lead and who is trailing.

Anyone come across another 7.9 in need of a rescue, link my up with it. It sure was a fun winter project rebuilding the boat and getting it ready.
