I'll see your "HeeHee and Whoopee and raise you with a Yippee and Yahoo!. This is good stuff. Two weeks ago it looked bleak, now it's anybody's ballgame. Kinda like the Giants last year!

In a day one would have found hard to believe if they were told in advance, the Oracle Racing team
slid on race closer to completing the impossible task, erasing an 8-1 deficit. Emirates was in good position
earlier in the 1st race of the day to get the start win they so desperately needed, when they fouled Oracle, who protested
and put ETNZ into irons at the start. Oracle took advantage of that and slid to an easy lead at mark one and never looked
back. In the 2nd race, ENTZ entered on port and won the start, and shown above lead at the 1st mark and extended the
    lead on the downhill leg.

In the flood tide and 20 knot breeze, OR seemed to find that extra gear and foiled easily up wind, and used
the extra gear to pass ETNZ. Oracle continued to build on that lead and was over a minute ahead by the top of the course.

The Kiwi's looked fast off wind, but just need one big break to give them the edge. But for the Kiwi's seem to have just
lost the mojo they commanded at the beginning of the regatta. A regatta which has extended longer than anyone would have forecasted.
Time has run out and ther is no more wiggle room.

Oracle has, to their credit, continued to find that extra gear. Whether it's just good luck, excellent timing for Ainslie and Slingsby to find
communications or just the rabid climb of the learning curve, the team and the boat just seemed to have jelled at the right time.

The boss Larry Ellison, had a much bigger entourage than in previous day and took great glee in his team's comeback.

The fans of Oracle, or USA or both have steadily increased over the past few days, as the comeback of epic porportions
has continued, the bandwagon has gotten crowded. On the other hand, a vast majority of Kiwi fans pre-planned vacations
have expired and flight /hotel reservations have been over extended. Their fan base is slowly being eroded, aside from the
    diehards.

Amazingly enough, Both Dean Barker and James Spithill seemed to be in level spirits,
and asked of Dean " What will it take to achieve a different outcome tomorrow, Dean replied
"I reckon crossing the finish line 1st"
