The Flash retired early, said something about $3.00 hot dogs and free beer trumped getting wet and breaking shit
everyday of the week and twice on Sundays...

Rick Elkin's custom Wylie 29' Lightspeed shredded their headsail on the slow and snotty beat to weather and also retired early.

New boots are killer, but lack the button to turn them into flipFlops when the wind goes light…

Paul Schroeder's Tartan 34C Constance charging to weather and the 1st mark, Alcatraz...it was a slow process for all boats
given the flood conditions, short square chop for breakfast with forecast of stiffening breeze...

Timo's Tracks om the J-120 Twisted

Interesting to see the lack of AIS breadcrumbs going into / out of raccoon straight, that ether points to the location of the AIS radio getting blocked by AI, or that fucking wind hole we parked in, and AIS went into the six min "your at the dock" mode…

Reciprocating with the photo of the photographer taking photos of the "minor suckage"

Here is the video of Javelin along with the GPS track suffering from more just a "major suckage" http://youtu.be/7Oe1MhXjV80

It was a mixed bag on JetStream.

    Highlights:
    - Killer port start, led the class almost to Alcatraz, played the current and pressure pretty well, until the last tack where we got too close to the flood line which eventually engulfed us.
    - Nailed the reach from Alcatraz to Harding, a few under-stood Harding and had to take a costly tack.
    - First to set after Harding and got on the lead again.

    Low-lights:
    - Frustrating patchy winds down Racoon, boats on both the left and right of us made gains.
    - Tried to stay on some pressure on the Marin side past Racoon, but the boats in the middle made more gains. All the way to the Brothers was a curse fest as we couldn't keep up with Outsider and Jazzy on the light stuff.
    - Fickle southerly breeze on the way back from the Brothers. Didn't have enough horsepower to deal with the flood. Stayed by the piers to get some relief until the last minute, lost more ground.
    - The westerly never filled in for us in the North Bay, didn't get to do anything other than white sail racing.
    - All that good breeze in the Central Bay, we get to go play on a gigantic f'ing wind hole.
    - More time spent delivering the boat than racing...
