    NOAA'a New Offerings

NOAA is now providing new predictive tidal and current info:

    Currents

    Tides
Pressure-drop.us ~It's not the size of the website, it's how you use it! ~

    NOAA's New Offerings

Well, it's about time! Our Tax Dollars At Work! In Canada, you buy an extremely detailed book of about 140 pages of current predictions, and then buy, cheaply, a decoder each year. The decoder sends you the the page most appropriate for the day at hand. It's hard to get a handle on at first, but the detail is exquisite, for the Straits of JDF, and points Northwest.

A very large step up for NOAA, who provides all the raw data for us. Bravo! So sick and tired of the gross maps in the tide tables, or playing Bodkins odds with the algorithm geniuses.

I'd prefer NOAA use its resources (my tax dollars) to get the wind forecasts right - like at least half the time?

I still think they should get paid via performance bonuses.

I think their forecasting went downhill when they moved to Monterey.

They seem to be forecasting out of some old military bunker and only come out when rations get delivered.

So what you are saying, is the baby humpback overdosed on salt?
