    Wildman Claims Melges 20' PCC's

On the final day of racing in San Francisco at the 2015 Pacific Coast Championship (PCC) all things changed at the top with the youngest helmsman in the fleet getting the big win — his first ever overall win in the highly competitive Audi Melges 20 Class. Congratulations are in full order for twelve-year old Liam Kilroy on Wildman along with tactician Steve Hunt and crew members Erik Shampain and Stephanie Roble. Making huge gains on Sunday, Liam's dad John Kilroy Jr. racing Samba Pa Ti finished in second overall. Overnight leader Achille Onorato's Mascalzone Latino Jr. slipped a couple of spots to round out the podium in third.

Three more races were completed on the last day. Liam Kilroy came out swinging landing a 3-2-1 performance, dicarding a fifth giving him a two-point advantage over the fleet.

Kilroy senior proved why he is World Champion winning two of the three daily heats taking home a 1-1-2 scoreline for the day. He threw out his twelfth to close the event two points ahead of Onorato.

With Onorato completing the event in third, it was a bit of a 2014 Worlds repeat with Kilroy getting the best of one of the most outstanding Italian teams in the Audi Melges 20 world!

Long time Audi Melges 20 owner Daniel Theilman on Kuai finished well in fourth, and Drew Freides on Pacific Yankee completed the top five line-up.

Other daily highlights included Japan's Diasuke Kimura on Quetefeek getting a well-deserved fourth place in Race Four of the series. Paul Reilly on Red Sky earned a nice third place finish in Race Five, just ahead of Skip Shapiro on Makaira in fourth and Jay Golison on Midlife Crisis in fifth. In Race Six Drew Weirda's Peshmerga got a piece of the action finishing third, just ahead of Onorato in fourth and Thielman in fifth.
