    2019 PK Swiftsure Race

Images from the 2019 Aldo Allesio & Phyllis Kleinman Swiftsure Cup, Saturdays Racing....

After 4-5 days of superheated bay conditions, the trigger was released over the weekend just in time
to send participants on some wild downhill rides across the central bay, with a predicted 2.8 knot flood and a start
line on the western edge of Treasure Island and the weather marks just off the St Francis. Breeze in the mid twenties
with stronger gusts gave the OOR boats all they could handle and them some.

The white boat above is Melges 32 formerly known as Rufless ( aka The Evil Clown Boat)

now the new sled for Mark Kennedy and Pearl Prisco and called Nuckelavee

It replaces their Flying Tiger Centomiglia

The nuckelavee or nuckalavee is a horse-like demon from Orcadian mythology that combines equine and human elements. It has its origins in Norse mythology, and is the most horrible of all the demons of Scotland's Northern Isles. The nuck component of its name may be cognate with Nick in Old Nick, a name for the Christian Devil

The nuckelavee (/ n ʌ k l ɑː ˈ v iː /) or nuckalavee is a horse-like demon from Orcadian mythology that combines equine and human elements. It has its origins in Norse mythology, and British folklorist Katharine Briggs called it "the nastiest" of all the demons of Scotland's Northern Isles.

Belief in Nuckelavee was not restricted to the Orkney Islands. Further north, in Shetland, he was known as "Mukkelevi"and regarded as either a sea-devil or some form of malevolent sea-trow.

A Nuckelavee is the worst of all demons on Scotland's Northern Isles. It's disfigured half human, half horse body is feared. It is considered a malevolent being who kills crops and livestock with its breath.

Mark and Pearl tied the knot in recent weeks and spent bundles on the wedding, honeymoon and the new boat,
but only had enough $ left to get new name put on the starboard hull... maybe a gofundme account candidate?
