    2021 Bonita Regatta

A few selects of Saturday's YRA Race to Punta Bonita, 69 registered a few no shows.

Good ebb and wind on way out and benign seas outside the Gate made for a rather quick jaunt out and
back to the Enicinal YC in Alameda

Over 1,000 images taken... hang on ...

RESULTS here, if you are into that sort of thing!

    cut out for you!

Daniel Theilman's Melges 32' Kaui is indeed fast... Fast enough to win the sportboat division AND

Bob Walden's Cal 39' Sea Star powers through the ebb slop, a bit to frigid for the Aloha Shirts and Bermuda Shorts

It's sail number obstructed, this Melges 32' with the name of a Scottish mythical creature performing a stress test on the kite.
The barely dressed aqua snow mobile driver was so busy taking selfies, he was completely unaware of the incoming traffic
that if the kite noise did not awaken him, it could have gotten very interesting....

The former J-125' Resolute is now the proud possession of Andrew Picel and has been renamed Aresenal

I get it the old mail from resolute has been on a few other 125's. If you look at that photo you will see the main and the kite have different sail numbers. Also resolute/Velvet hammer are white hulled. There was only one 125 that I know of with a grinding pedestal that was the TYR/Arsenal

Rich boat owners going cheap on sails, confusing poor PB.

    Where is the outrage?

On the other hand, it's good that there are 3 125's out playing on the bay.

When Uncle Tom bowed out, quite a few pros were displaced and forced to find work elsewhere!
