Rain and strong gusty winds greeted the crew of the 2016 Big Daddy Regatta for Saturday's Buoy Races.

The Richmond Yacht Club's Race Committee managed to get off 3 races for most divisions in winds averaging 26 mph with gust to 35 mph as
measured on the Point Potrero anemometer. A trying day with a lot of damage and retirements. Steve Hockings's Ohana shown above just one of many casualties
suffered through the course of the afternoon.

Racing continues Sunday with the pursuit race, which has a forecast for 20 plus knots sustained and gusts in the high 30's and rain.

    You gotta want it!
