After a long day on the Berkeley Circle, Paul Sutcheck and Richard von Ehrenkrook mosied back to the BYC for some Pusser's Rum and the awards celebration. They had earlier sailed in the Red Fleet in the BYC's Champions of Champions Regatta where they placed 10th in the 11 boat Fleet against the other division winners in 8-14
knot over an 8 mile course. The lighter breeze favored the lengthy and lighter boats, Results

After the party it was time to sail back to the SFYC, uphill. In building conditions. with winds winds out of the west at 25 gusting to 30, the boys on "Can O Whoopass" were in their element, bashing through the notorious "Bezerkeley Flats" nasty chop in wind chill in the 20's. " It wasn't bad," sez Paul," We only got knocked down twice"

They are looking forward to the Farallones Race at the end of the month aboard their Cal 20, "I hope we get around the rock pile by dark" Paul ads "I hear they have sharks out there bigger than our boat, but maybe in the dark they can't see us"
